MoleMinder is an application to help you monitor skin moles. Why is this important? Normally moles are benign and present no problems, but when they start changing this may indicate the possible start of skin cancer or malignant melanoma. Malignant melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer because the cancer can spread quite quickly to other parts in the body and so early diagnosis is critical in combating this disease. It is relatively rare accounting for about 10% of all skin cancer cases but is responsible for the most deaths. In England and Wales, approximately 1,500 people die every year due to malignant melanoma.

If you have any concerns about your moles you should consult your GP or medical practioner.

MoleMinder helps you keep track of photographs of your moles. Keeping a photographic record of your moles is a good way to check for changes over time.
